Enquiries. When you use the contact form, email us or message us on WhatsApp: your name, company, email address, the country or market you are interested in, the type of help you need and your message.
Usage data, only if you accept cookies. Pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location derived from your IP address, and how you reached the site.
Technical logs. Our host records IP addresses and requests automatically to keep the site secure and running.
Why we use it
To answer your enquiry. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take before entering a contract.
To measure the site and our advertising. Our lawful basis is your consent, given through the cookie banner. You can withdraw it at any time.
To meet legal obligations. For example, keeping tax and accounting records.
We do not sell personal data and we do not make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
We share data only with providers that process it for us under contract:
Formspree receives contact form submissions and passes them to us.
Google Analytics and Google Ads, only if you accept cookies.
Meta and LinkedIn, only if you accept cookies, to measure our advertising on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.
GitHub hosts this website.
Google Fonts serves the typefaces on this site and receives your IP address when a page loads.
Professional advisers, such as our accountants and lawyers, where needed.
Transfers outside the UK
Some of these providers are based in North America or process data there. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework or the International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months after our last contact.
Client records: six years after the end of the engagement, for tax and legal reasons.
Analytics data: no longer than 14 months.
Cookies
Two small items are stored in your browser so the site works as you asked: your language choice and your cookie choice. They are not shared and do not need consent.
The cookies below are set only if you accept them:
Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*): counts visits and shows how the site is used. Up to 2 years.
Google Ads (_gcl_*): measures enquiries that come from our ads. Up to 90 days.
Meta Pixel (_fbp): measures our ads on Facebook and Instagram. Up to 90 days.
LinkedIn Insight Tag (li_*, bcookie): measures our ads on LinkedIn. Up to 1 year.
Withdrawing consent stops these cookies being used and removes the ones stored on this site.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of your data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or send it to another provider. You can also object to how we use it. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. We reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would welcome the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
